Showcased at this year’s Milan Design Week, the Pleated Pleat series of chairs and stools by Raw-Edges Studio caught my attention due to its fascinating use of the pleating technique in fashion on a chair design. The surfaces of the DuPont ™ Tyvek ® sheets are folded, then reinforced with polyurethane foam to create three-dimensional cushions.
