I’ve considered getting a face mask for a while, mainly to shield the notoriously dreadful pee stench wafting through my working neighborhood in San Francisco. Now the need arises in anticipation of the flu season, and my Hello Kitty face mask from Hong Kong has come in handy, but only for a moment.
So on a slight fabric/wearable tangent, I wanna mention Mint Designs‘ face masks shown at the Tokyo Fiber ’09 Senseware Exhibition, and I’m glad I found these awesome masks! Made of synthetic non-woven fabric called SMASH, these masks can be press-formed into any shape, and in this case, a human and an ape face. Neato!
