Spanish fashion designer Amaya Arzuaga is inspired by the notion of metamorphosis for her Spring 2010 collection. Each dress connotes the transformation of a chrysalis to a butterfly, and the collection is rife with dramatic origamic folds and pleated tulle shaped into fans and spirals. Amaya also toys with opacity and translucency to suggest skin vs. motion, cocoons vs. butterfly wings. Overall, this is a spectacular collection!
