Inspired by a pop-up map of New York, Swedish designers Sanna Lindström and Sigrid Strömgren got to work together and created a unique table called the Grand Central. The tabletop is divided into 18 pieces with advanced folding mechanisms that allow for expansion, and addresses space-saving issues: the table can be transformed from a side table into a centerpiece of a room.
The Grand Central was shown as part of the D3 contest at the IMM COLOGNE 19-24 Janury 2010.
