Hamachi is a storage unit designed by Danish designer Jakob Jørgensen, consisting of five racks covered by bright yellow latex bands. Unlike a conventional dresser which requires some drawer-pulling, simply stretch open the band on the Hamachi to put away or grab your stuff.
About the designer: Jakob Jørgensen graduated in 2008 as a furniture designer at the Danish Design School. He won the 1st price in the Asahikawa furniture competition with Barca.
“I am interested in art and design – to me two sides of same coin, which encourage and inspire each other. I wish to express the same depth in a piece of design used among people as in a work of art that is present in another way in human life.”
