Papercraft Self Portrait by Eric Testroete

by pleatfarmer on November 30, 2010

Inspired by big-head models seen in video games, Canadian artist Eric Testroete, with the help of Bert Simons and Haywan Chiu, created a self-portrait, faceted paper head mask for his Halloween costume.

The head was modeled in 3d Max based off of his head shots.

the 61 pound matte paper was printed, cut and folded.

Hi,
From what I understand, Miyake and his team custom-designed a modeling program for the series so I believe it’s not accessible to many. You may look up this post.
